I went by myself. I drove my Mom’s Volvo. It was my first time back to a DMB concert in two years, since missing both the 2010 tour and the 2011 Caravan tour.

It was a beautiful night for a concert! I almost didn’t go since I couldn’t find anybody to go with me. In fact I arrived late and unfortunately, missed the first four songs. When I arrived, they were in the middle of “Satellite” but I finally found my seat when they started playing a new song titled “If Only” which sounded really enjoyable. I love having a seat!

I loved hearing “You Might Die Trying” and a fantastic, beautiful song titled “Shotgun”. After a fine rendition of “You and Me”, DMB played a brand new song for the first time live this evening which was titled “The Riff” and I liked it a lot! It sounded excellent!

After “Why I Am” and a beautiful “Out of my Hands”, the show really started rocking with “Dancing Nancies” and “Warehouse.” Dave would sing, “Could I have been lost somewhere in Camden?”, and the crowd went wild!

An amusing highlight came after “Warehouse”, when Dave accidentally introduced Rashawn Ross “on the saxophone” before catching his mistake. He then introduced the other band members “on the xylophone,” except for Carter who was “on the marimba.” It was a hilarious moment on stage and the audience absolutely loved it!

“Jimi Thing” really jammed with extra horn players from The Roots plus outstanding solos by Boyd Tinsley on violin and Tim Reynolds on guitar.

DMB ended the set with a groovy version of “Everybody Wake Up” and an incredible jamming “Two Step.” It’s remarkable that they could make that song sound even better than before, but they did and it was exceptional!

The encore was one of the finest ever with “So Damn Lucky”, “Halloween”, and “Tripping Billies”! It was an amazing ending to an amazing night! I was thoroughly astonished and exhilarated by their performance tonight! DMB truly hasn’t missed a beat yet and this show ranks up at the top!
